Evil is not the absence of good. Evil is an active agency. We can study evil (unlike darkness or cold, as stated in the premise of the video). If god created evil, he is evil. If he did not created evil, then why does he allows it? If he cannot destroy evil, then why call him "god"?

This video is the most idiotic argument for the existence of god I have seen yet. How does it answer the question of there being a god? The premise is pointless. If you are stupid enough to believe in god then you will certainly fall victim to this nonsense. Also, maybe a child Einstein had some notions of god but by the time he was an adult had discarded those childlike ideas. Stop searching for ways to prove the existence of your idiotic gods. It is a waste of your life.

agree.. ;) i'm referring to the video, not to those two who commented earlier..

God did not create evil, only the option of evil-Satan took the option of evil and fell. Man took the option of evil, and fell likewise. Why does God allow it? Because He made Man as a free agent, so to speak, who could choose to follow Him, or follow himself. The continuance of evil is the consequence of man's choice of evil over good, or evil over God, if you will. There is both a temporal consequence to this, and an eternal consequence, the temporal being the pain and suffering we see, and experience around us-sickness, hatred, racism, death, are the temporal cost. Hell is the eternal cost. Praise God, the eternal cost has been paid, through Jesus Christ, if we are willing to accept it, accept Him.

That quote is not by Einstein. Einstein was an atheist in the modern vernacular.

Actually Einstein was an avid believer in a creator throughout his adult life. Its not whether its the God that is spoken about throughout mans history's existence its now become a moral debate about who is right and who is wrong and how many people out there choose a side. I say don't choose a side I say research both worlds of mans obsession. Spirituality and Science should be pursued as one idea of understanding. We are killing ourselves dividing our pursuits of knowledge in only one direction.

god allows evil because it is necessary. even before god created angels, he knew that satan is going to desert him and be evil(for he was omniscient), and yet he allowed it. why? why not just let him not exist at all? it's like this... if satan gets here, i KNOW what he's going to do, but im going to let him do it anyway. and after he temps eve and adam to eat the fruit. then im going to punish mankind for all eternity. wtf is that... i asked scholars and local priests in my area "why did god ask adam did he ate fruit from the tree(even if god knew that adam actually ate the fruit)?", the priest said that god would like to see if adam is going to tell the truth.... but didnt god already knew the answer to all of this, even before creating the whole universe? very stupid answer.

All the answers are in the Bible. The Lord is the ruler of the universe, He lets the good and evil to happen. Bad things that burdens or crushes us, may seem to be evil, but Lord looks after for our souls, not bodies. And all of it, bitter and sweet He gives in our lives, are His perfect mercy and a chance for redemption.

Are you really that stupid? yes the post is totally wrong, this proves nothing, BUT it does prove the point that God did not create evil. thats what needs to be said.
Does god exist, well considering the alternative is mathmaticaly impossible, I would have to say yes.
Unless you want to pull a George Bush and say "the absence of evidence is not the evidence of abesnce" from an evolutionist's view. The proof they have found is closer to proving god does exist, only reason why scientists don't like to comment on that is because it would make them eat their words.
Consider just one thing. As from the movie "expelled: no intellegence allowed", I forget who it was who said this but, "for minimal life function aprox. 250 protiens need to be combined" peraphraised, They need to be combined in the right order I might add. The odds of this naturally occuring are 1 in 6 to the power of a trillion. That means a trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion. Not 6 trillion. a trillion times itself 6 times. Now for that to work itself out, it would take billions of years, Funny thing though, Our oldest fossil is of bacteria approx 3.5 billion years old... the planet itself is only 4.6 billion years old. That means that this equation took place in less then the span of 1 billion years since the planet was not capable of supporting life for some time since it was formed. Just mull that over in your head for a bit.

We cant say God is bad for not "stopping evil" humans do evil things, we do evil things, we're not Gods puppets and hes not going to control us.

I like whoever wrote that second last comment before me there. It pisses me off that people always equate atheism with being more intelligent and informed. In my experience the majority of atheists haven't really looked into the ideologies behind religion, creationism or even their own often science-based beliefs for themselves - certainly not enough to make an informed judgment. They just dismiss the idea of some God-like spiritual force through regurgitating arguments they've heard from the more informed atheists; acting with all the authority of said figures and next to none of their knowledge of both sides of the story.

Not trying to offend atheists though - I'm well aware of the amount of religious people who do the very same. Probably more common amongst religious people, I just find it ironic that atheists I know often condemn believers for this sheep-like behaviour. There's examples of both on this very thread.

beleiving in existence of God is just upon you,if you can see air or eat light you can say you are correct but there are certain thing in this world that don't run on logics and fiction. In my life so far i have been witness number of such cases and incidents where i was bound to belive the existence of God. God is always there for each of us ,just needed is the eye to see him..........

well said edgard, also u might need to consider. Both positive and negative exist to give each other value one cant be completely positive without a negative to compare to.
